Any person taking another person away forcefully or by deception for ransom shall be imprisoned from fifteen to twenty years or imprisonment for life. He/she mat be punished with death, however.
- Taking away a person not older than 15 from his or her guardian or from person caring him/her without a reasonable cause shall be punished with imprisonment from three to fifteen years. Therefore, a foreigner has to be very careful about this.

The decision was announced by Thakorn Tantasith, secretary-general of the NBTC, following approval by the National Council for Peace and Order (NCPO).
He said 600 of the stations passed inspection of equipment and technical standards. The station operators must report to the NBTC regional office to register, after which they can immediately begin broadcasting. The stations will be listed on the NBTC website.

To legally work in Thailand, a foreigner must apply for a work permit. Work permit is a legal document that states a foreigner’s position, current occupation, or job description and the Thai company he is working with. It also serves as a license to perform a job or an occupation allowed for foreigners inside Thailand.

A foreigner is entitled to work only with work permit issued by the Thai authority specifying the job and the work place. Note that he cannot work elsewhere other than the site specified without approval of the authority concerned.
